TECHNICAL VISIT TO EDİRNE PROVINCIAL FOOD CONTROL LABORATORY
On April 16, 2025, students from the Food Technology Program under the Department of Food Processing at Trakya University Arda Vocational School conducted a technical visit to the Edirne Provincial Food Control Laboratory, accompanied by Assistant Director Assoc. Prof. Hatice Palüzar and Dr. Fatmagül Halıcı Demir.
During the visit, Deputy Director of the Edirne Food Control Laboratory, Şebnem Mutlu, gave a comprehensive presentation to the students about analysis procedures, quality control practices, and overall laboratory operations. Accredited laboratory units were toured, where expert staff introduced advanced analytical instruments and provided detailed explanations on analysis methods, food safety, and laboratory processes.
During the visit, it was also shared—following discussions with the institution’s director, Arıkan Kocabaş—that internship opportunities would be available to our students within the organization.
This visit, which once again highlighted the importance of practical training in the food industry, proved to be highly beneficial in enhancing the professional knowledge and skills of our students.
